Infopavillon „Überseequartier“ Hamburg
With its diverse production capabilities, ALUTECTA offers the perfect foundation for manufacturing complete components – „everything from a single source.“ This is essential for realizing projects with complex requirements, such as numerous colours, shapes, or combinations of various production steps.
The project shown here, the aluminum facade of the Überseequartier Hamburg information pavilion, was a highly unusual architectural project clad with 300 different facade elements in three different Sandalor® anodised colours. All components vary in size, from 3 x 1.5 m to 0.4 x 0.5 m, and in shape. Each facade panel was individually cut from 3 mm aluminum sheet according to the drawing, bent, and numbered according to the plan. The elements were then prepared and sorted for the anodising process and the corresponding colours. After anodising and colouring, they were re-sorted – again according to the plan – in the sequence required for on-site assembly. The realization of such a complex order is only economically viable and achievable on time if experienced employees, flexible production facilities, and optimal production logistics come together. Everything from a single source!
