A colourful welcome to Dublin
Colour anodisation Sandalor® variety of colors in Children's Hospital (NCH) Dublin
In Dublin, the new New Children's Hospital (NCH) is nearing completion. This ambitious project will provide comprehensive infrastructure for the medical care of children. The planning committee commissioned a design team consisting of BDP. mit Benedict Zuchini and O'Connell Mahon Architects to design the project. Part of the brief was to create "one of the finest children's hospitals in the world" with a „welcoming environment.“ We are delighted to be able to make a significant contribution to the realization of the project with our anodised colored surfaces. The hospital is oval-shaped and features one of the largest roof gardens in Europe in its inner courtyard: the Rainbow Garden. The garden is framed by vertical anodised aluminum panels in the entire Sandalor® color palette. The arrangement of the elements is colorful, luminous, vibrant, and playful, forming a kind of rainbow around the garden.
