DURA®xal Powder coating in the aluminum and window facade of „Keltenpark“
Windows and aluminium facade
For the KELTENPARK National Park Gateway visitor center in Nonnweiler, the architectural firm DBCO utilized a material mix of wood, concrete, glass, and powder-coated aluminum elements. Vertical wood cladding forms the dominant element and, together with the concrete, defines the color scheme. Windows and facade elements with powder-coated surfaces in DURA®xal quality blend seamlessly into this material mix. DURA®xal offers a velvety feel and a matte, metallic look similar to anodised surfaces. The window construction was carried out by FPD, Schmelz, using powder coating from ALUTECTA. The large aluminum-glass facades follow the contours of the cruciform building plan in rounded curves.
