Anodised facade with a grinding texture
Variety is the dominant design principle in this office building. Windows and aluminum facade panels create a vibrant, irregular rhythm. The windows appear dark, the panels light, with a distinctive aluminum surface. The concept calls for the facade to be reflective, anodised in neutral silver, and featuring a fine brushed finish. Achieving the desired visual properties presents a particular challenge due to the width of the panels. Because only flat raw sheets and aluminum profiles up to 400 mm wide can be ground and brushed during mechanical pretreatment, ALUTECTA, in collaboration with Metallbau VOS, developed a production concept that considered all parameters – appearance, technology, quality, and the supply chain. Hydro HyRough® sheet material was selected for the production of the edge profiles. Working closely together, the surface production process was adapted to ensure that the combination of HyRough® sheet material with grinding, pretreatment, and anodising offers the highest possible degree of reflectivity without compromising quality. The result is a building with a distinctive structure, precise lines, and high-quality materials down to the last detail. All elements are combined in a unique, vibrant architecture that reflects the light and the surroundings, integrating perfectly without losing its own individual character.
