Grey anodised finish with brushed texture - Basler Kantonalbank
Sun louvers, windows, facades + door panels with brushed structure, grey anodised
Mint Architects used brushed grey anodised aluminum components (GRANODAL® E1 C72) for the renovation of the Basel Cantonal Bank. Vertical, 30cm deep sunshades are the dominant visual feature of the glass facade. The strict structure appears transparent and functional, offering the viewer a distinctive overall impression with a successful mix of glass, stone, and aluminum. ALUTECTA anodised various aluminum components for the Geilinger company. The challenge lay in anodising the different aluminum materials—solid louvers, profiles, sheets, and edge trims—with the brushed finish and coloring them gray using the GRANODAL® process to create a uniform appearance. Having everything done in-house ensures optimal quality, favorable economic conditions, and minimal material waste.
